The top 3 perspectives are interiors of the form of the main atriums of the living areas.  Since their creation the interior designers have developed some nice finishes including marble atrium flooring, mahogany doors, wainscot and trim.  I expect permission to rerun the perspectives reflecting more lavish finishes momentarily.  Due to the need for air during a lock down we decided to have the atrium as a partial "Air Reservoir".  Meanwhile, for everyday use, the space looks really great and livable and is protected from electromagnetic impact on the occupants. There are a couple of technical glitches on these renderings so they are preliminary.  The next versions will show clouds painted on the ceiling.  Looking at these renderings we decided to build a light diffuser under the skylights so that the light cast below would not be so intense.

In the next rows of pictures you can see some conceptual sketches of the exterior and our model.  We decided to build a topographic model to get a better design feel for the topography.  Each one of those layers of cardboard represents 20 feet of hillside.  So it is a big rock that we are designing to build into.  You can see that the project is basically exposed to the world on one curved surface.  It is a huge thick concrete wall.  In front of the wall is a lattice with vines on it which adds to the feng shui and makes the entry a timeless modern expression instead of having the feeling of entering a cave.  Then you also see some freehand sketches of the entry close up and some site plan concept sketches.  I also put the site plan concept sketches on the model so you can get a feel of the layout in relation to the topography.

We were just authorized to proceed on some interior upgrades that will upscale the project interior designs.  SSA's staff is working on some revisions to the ID package that will be reflected in the revised perspectives that will be posted shortly.  As of this writing it looks like the revised perspectives should be posted near 10/16/09.

The building is divided into structural units that are comparable to a typical hotel.  The "Units" are then configured into what people will buy.  One unit can be a comfortable living quarters for two.  One and one half can be comfortable for two adults and a young child.  Two units can be set up comfortably for 4 adults or two adults depending on their preference.... This goes up to many interconnected units.  However, we have more upscale unit configurations where 3 units would be designed to be utilized by one or two adults and a child.  This up-scaling goes up to the "Unlimited Class" where we offer a 3 story 15,000 square foot retreat that would be divided per the requirements of the purchaser.  the top size is a 4 story 20,000 square foot suite.  Neither of these larger suites has a "floor plan".  Both are just open to structure in our building plan.  The idea being that the buyers would have unique needs and may have a variety of tastes.  So we will provide interior design and layout to their tastes.  See the unit plans.
